Hi, my name is Colin or Gribbz.
I'm a dancer of almost 10 years soon. I started freestyle dance via Melbourne Shuffle at age 25, then pioneered and pursued becoming an instructor as a career years later at age 29. The Melbourne Shuffle is a freestyle dance that was originally brought up in Melbourne Australia in the mid to late 80's, from underground raves and festivals. It spawned communities in many different cities and then late in the early 2000's it got world wide attention and spread even further. Originally it was called "Stomping" and had other names before that. It's evolved a bit since then and what I know it today is "Shuffling" or
"The Melbourne Shuffle" ( Not to be confused with shuffle board the game! )
The shuffle is what you do with your pivoting foot, otherwise known as "The T-step" This is how you move across the floor when you dance to the music.
I LOVE to teach shuffling and help Change peoples lives for the better. It brings me the ultimate satisfaction to see a student really understand and grow into the dancer they've dreamed about becoming as well as comprehending all the moves, technicality and music theory on the spot, it's the best feeling in the world to teach someone your craft or passion and see them GET IT and UNDERSTAND WHY WE DO THIS. This is a lifestyle and a badge of honor we shufflers wear, all the hard work and sweat it takes to get to a higher source and flow state is one of the BEST FEELINGS ON EARTH. <3 Once you learn how to move your body freely to the music, you will have unlocked one of THEE BEST sources of keeping yourself 10 to 20+ years younger.

Dance does not judge you. )( I AM THAT PERSON TO HELP GUIDE YOU! )In this day and age, basic social and people skills / communicating are becoming a lost art with kids and the youth especially here in America, all of this technology and screen time on our phones has limited our attention spans and warped our perception and reality a bit...( It's pretty crazy out there ) even young adults into their 20's and 30's struggle and go their whole lives without asking for help or advice... our own thoughts can trap us in a perpetual cycle that never seems like it's going to end... ( YUCK ) BUUUUT, it doesn't have to be like that! I can assure you if you're looking for a serious change in your life that has to do with dancing especially, ( I THINK YOU'VE FOUND IT ) This is my 10th and best year yet going into shuffle and dance consistently, and let me tell you, although life is always crazy and chaotic, these last 4-5 years especially, I'm glad I have the Melbourne Shuffle and EDM ( Electronic Dance Music) at my side as well as the shuffle community abroad and my close shuffle dance friends too of course <3I can educate you on the following:-The Melbourne Shuffle, which will help give you the confidence and build consistency in your life to walk tall and complete and go after your dreams and goals without ever giving up.The Melbourne Shuffle Style that I've learned over the years has built amazing resilience to never give up on my dreams and its built some serious foundations that I lacked when I was younger.. ( I started this dance at age 25, it's never too late to start your journey ) Now 10 years later I've built an extremely resilient attitude and mindset that ( No matter how tough or hard things may get from this moment on...I will never give up on what I love to do or want to achieve with this dance, the possibilities are just endless!) Its too real and raw to ever want to give up! When you discover dance, especially shuffling ( you will do anything to keep it close to you, you will fight for it! It's literally a tool that once you learn it, it can cure you of depression and create so many opportunities around you, I've done it and I'm doing it now! And I want to help you do it too!Dancing is a way to connect with all kinds of people and cultures, it also helps with communication, social skills and networking. Dance helps with meeting and experiencing new cultures and people all around the world ( EASILY ) in my opinion.The thing about dance is that the magic behind it and the happiness it brings people, is VERY MAGNETIC! It's one of the great many joys of this life. Its a literal gift and tool to help you along your path or journey.Shuffling and dance is a life skill of many that I can easily teach you with a decades worth of training and experience.Other life skills I can teach you:-Building your own professional Shuffle and Dance community, this is my specialty, bringing people together, bridging gaps and curating and building events like shuffle meetups and more.(IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME)-Personal Fitness Trainer: I've been lifting weights for over 20+ years now. I can help you get in the best shuffle or fit shape of your life!It doesn't have to be hard, it's all about staying consistent, and that's where I come in.I'll keep you accountable and push you ( safely of course ) past those plateaus and help you reach those fitness goals!-Building communication, social and people skills to use in the professional world and in life in general. Learning how to be and act in casual and professional functions with social queues and more. ( I can help you with this 100% )-Building a dance or performer resume or resume in general, ( many people lack a decent resume today ) I can help with this.-Basic computer skills and learning to use basic every day apps that are now used for your work or brand such as Canva, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Media Encoder, and a list of other apps to help you build your own website even for your brand or products. ( which will save you tons of money and time instead of hiring someone else to do it for you ) ( nothing wrong with outsourcing and saving time of course!I always say "I'd rather rely on myself and become multifaceted because I KNOW I can count on ME to do the job right" And when it comes to shuffling and editing MY OWN PERSONAL ART, this is something that is near and dear to me, I want to put the emotional and real life touch whether digital or not into my edits. I cant tell or teach that to someone I hire, it just cannot be done. This is very niche.I can teach you the basic ins and outs of editing with your phone camera or professional DSLR camera. ( Another very important skill to know and have as we move more into Ai and the digital frontier.I will cover much more and anything you need or want help with, especially when it comes to business and entrepreneurship, when I get into a brainstorm session with a student or mentee, the gears are turning and the ideas are flowing, I love to get deep into business flow and conversation to come up with ideas and ways to help YOU succeed, because that's my job as a Teacher and mentor.I take great pride in what I do and for $75 a month this is a steal for what I have to offer you.
